CO 5 HYDRO

CO 5 HYDRO is a cobalt drying agent specifically designed for water-based systems. This agent is known for its ability to accelerate the surface drying of coatings, varnishes, stains, and inks. It contributes to uniform through-drying of the paint film when used in conjunction with a secondary drier like zirconium, barium, or zinc. It catalyzes redox reactions, causing the dissociation of hydroperoxides and a change in valence from Co2+ to Co3+, leading to rapid surface drying. It finds application in oxidatively cured water-based systems, including architectural paints, industrial coatings, stains, oil-based inks, and artists’ colors.
